Bishop Brent M. Bryant, Sr.

Senior Pastor

 

Brent M. Bryant, Sr. was born in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was baptized at the age of 13 and began his work singing with his brother and sister. Early on he became the choir director for the Fifth Ward Baptist Church in Clarksville.

 

After serving in the Air Force for eight years, he was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1979 at the Fifth Ward Baptist Church. After coming to San Antonio, he joined the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and was ordained by the late Pastor L. H. Mills in 1984. He was the lead Pastor of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for five years before becoming the organizing and Lead Pastor of the Redeeming Grace Church, which began October 16, 1988. He was consecrated a Bishop in 2002 and is the Second Presiding Bishop of the Father’s House International Fellowship located in Houston, Texas, He served as moderator for the San Antonio Baptist Association from 2011-2013 and also served on the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.

 

He is the loving husband and friend of First Lady Frances Bryant. Together they are the parents of nine children, fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pastor Tony Blue, Sr.

Executive Pastor

 

Tony Blue, Sr. was raised in a loving Christian home by Elijah and Betty Joe Blue and eight siblings. He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at a very early age.

 

He joined Redeeming Grace Church in 1993 and began singing in the choir and praise team. Pastor Blue has served in many capacities as an Assistant Pastor, a Choir Director, a Minister of Music, a Pastor of Operations and Public Relations, and a Sunday School Teacher.  He has also served in the Evangelistic Outreach and various other ministries within Redeeming Grace.  Pastor Blue was called into ministry and licensed in 2000, and was ordained in 2012 at RGC under the pastorate of Bishop Brent M. Bryant, Sr.

 

He is the loving husband and friend of LaRhonda Blue. Together they are the parents of ten with two still left at home better known as “The Texas Bad Boys”.

Pastor M. Lewis Thornton, Jr

Assistant Pastor

 

 M. Lewis Thornton, Jr. was born to Morris Thornton, Sr. and Sherri Thornton with one younger  brother in Louisville, KY. He gave his life to the Lord as a teenager and was baptized at 15. He  joined the military and retired after serving 25 years in the US Marines and Army. He married his  high school sweetheart and best friend, Victoria, shortly after joining the military and they have  two wonderful children.

 

 Pastor Thornton has served as an usher, greeter, and deacon in his travels before joining  Redeeming Grace in 2010. He accepted his call into the ministry in 2012 and was ordained and  licensed in 2016 under the pastorate of Bishop Brent M. Bryant, Sr. Pastor Thornton is a  passionate bible study teacher and he and his wife, Evangelist Thornton, also oversee the  marriage ministry – Covenant Couples.
